Welcome to Legis. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Services") provided by Legis AI, Inc. ("Legis," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Legis provides automated software tools for document generation and filing guidance. The Services are not a substitute for legal advice from a qualified attorney. Your use of the Services does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Legis.

2. Eligibility & User Obligations

You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to use our Services. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are solely responsible for your compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including court rules and filing deadlines.

3. Services Provided

Legis offers document generation and guidance services. This includes providing county-specific filing instructions based on the information you provide.

Our Services are strictly limited to self-help tools and do NOT include:

• Any form of legal advice, opinion, or recommendation about your specific legal situation.
• Legal representation in any matter.
• Any guarantee of outcome. The legal system is subject to the discretion of the courts, and we cannot and do not warrant or guarantee that any documents generated through our Services will be accepted by a court or that you will achieve a favorable ruling.

4. Account Registration & Security

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for any activities or actions under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Legis is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login credentials.

5. Payment & Refunds

Our Services are provided on a flat-fee basis, with all costs clearly displayed at the time of purchase. From time to time, we may offer bundled services at a discounted rate, the terms of which will be explained at the point of sale. All sales are considered final and non-refundable, except where explicitly required by applicable law.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR NEEDS. AS STATED ABOVE, LEGIS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY GUARANTEE OF COURT ACCEPTANCE OR A FAVORABLE OUTCOME IN ANY LEGAL MATTER.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL LEGIS, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LEGIS FOR THE SERVICES IN QUESTION.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Legis AI, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from your use of and access to the Services or your violation of these Terms.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be determined by binding arbitration in California, administered by JAMS under its applicable rules. YOU AGREE THAT, BY ENTERING INTO THESE TERMS, YOU AND LEGIS ARE EACH WAIVING THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY AND THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. All claims must be brought in the parties' individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms. Upon termination, you will not be entitled to a refund unless otherwise required by law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any changes by posting the new Terms on our site. Your continued use of the Services after such a change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
