Jordan Diggs, CEO and Founder of Legis

Jordan Diggs

CEO / Founder

Legis exists because I’ve lived the system.

After navigating family court firsthand, I saw how hard it can be just to complete the paperwork — let alone understand the process. I once paid over $1,200 just to file a simple request, not including court fees. I found a way to make it work. Many people can’t.

That’s why I built Legis. Everyone should be able to participate in the process, not just those who can afford professional help.

Why We Exist

Family law is about doing what’s best for the child — but too often, the process fails the people who need it most. Legis is an AI self-help platform that helps people complete court forms and understand the steps involved, all at a much lower cost. We don’t give legal advice. We do help people move forward with clarity and confidence.

Our Mission

To make the family court system more accessible and manageable for everyone. We believe that families should be supported, not overwhelmed, when navigating custody, support, or divorce.

What We Value

  • Clarity – Legal processes should be understandable, not intimidating.
  • Access – Cost shouldn’t be a barrier to participating in your own case.
  • Support – Everyone deserves tools that help them take the next step.

We want people to feel relief, not confusion, after using Legis.

Our Goal

If your case doesn’t require a courtroom or a lawyer, you shouldn’t have to pay like it does. Legis helps people handle routine family law tasks on their own, with confidence.

Where We’re Available

Legis currently serves:

  • California

Next up: New York. We aim to support all 50 states.
